The Irish Open at the RDS, Dublin has just wrapped up, and once again it delivered an incredible festival of poker. Massive fields, brilliant energy, and top-class action from start to finish.

One of the biggest positives this year was seeing so many women running deep across multiple tournaments a great sign for the game and something that really stood out throughout the series.

Sia Browne put in an outstanding performance in the Hendon Mob Championship, finishing 6th for €10,900 after battling through a huge field a serious run on a massive stage.

I also got involved in the Kings & Queens event hosted by the Roberts a great format with 100 women and 100 men battling it out. It played down to the final 8 women and 8 men for Day 2, and I managed a 15th place finish, cashing for €360. A really fun and competitive event 💪

The Ladies Event was another huge success, pulling in over 175 entries and smashing last year’s numbers. Big congratulations to Jennifer Frankenstein from the US for taking it down a fantastic achievement 👏

And of course, a massive well done to Karen Muir the Irish Open Ambassador, who won the first-ever Ladies High Roller on Irish soil by an Irish player, banking €16,000 after a gruelling heads-up battle for over 2 hrs against Tara Schwartz from the US.

There were also plenty of other women picking up cashes across the series, showing just how much the game continues to grow and evolve.
