Football runs through Manchester’s blood; not only is Manchester City one of the oldest professional football clubs in the world (originally formed as St. Mark’s in 1880), but Manchester (the city not the club, to be precise) is also home to the “Theatre of Dreams”, aka Old Trafford, the largest club football stadium in the UK, capable of holding over 74,000 fans and home to Manchester United. With football fever sweeping the globe thanks to the 2026 Football World Cup, Manchester is already getting ready for the England vs Croatia showdown on 17th June.

But before all eyes turn to England vs Croatia, there is Day 3 of the PartyPoker Tour Manchester stop to revisit.

At 5 pm, Day 1C of the £150 Mini Main Event with £50,000 GTD kicked off. The third flight attracted a total of 114 entries, with 17 players making it through to Day 2. Familiar faces included poker legend Surinder Sunar, Angelo Avanzato and PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event winner Deniz Orhan.

The top chip leaders were Ion Oprea, reigning PartyPoker Tour Manchester Mini Main Event Champion, with 608,000 chips, Daniel Ryder with 518,000 chips and Benjamin Liu with 478,000 chips.

At 7 pm, the second Poker.PRO branded event, PL H.O.R.S.E., was underway. The tournament attracted a total of 43 entries, generating a £3,655 prize pool. Familiar faces included Lewis Henderson, who appeared to be on the verge of adding another trophy to his collection, and PartyPoker Tour Team member Rebecca Hardisty, who had recently celebrated her birthday. However, it was Christopher Bean who won the title, the trophy, and £1,355 in prize money.

With another flight complete and another trophy handed out, the PartyPoker Tour Manchester stop continues to gather momentum.
