We like to include a few interesting facts about the city the PartyPoker Tour is visiting at the time, and today is no different.

Manchester is a fabulous city for many reasons, and one of those reasons is its historical significance. If you were unaware, Manchester is the birthplace of the Suffragette Movement. The movement’s leader, Emmeline Pankhurst, was born and raised in Manchester. These women were revolutionaries, and it was thanks to their efforts that women secured the right to vote.

Now, you must be wondering why on earth she is babbling about this now?

Well, the PartyPoker Tour proudly flies the female flag, with three fierce women forming part of the PartyPoker Tour Team. First up is Natalie Bromley, founder of Hearts of Queens, a charity that seeks to raise awareness of women’s issues worldwide and provide valuable resources where they are most needed. She also reached the final table of the PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event last year.

Then there is Barbara Jimenez, the latest addition to the team and a highly respected player on the Spanish circuit. During her first event as a Team member, she went heads-up at the PartyPoker Tour Seville stop.

Last, but definitely not least, is Rebecca Hardisty, who has taken home several PartyPoker mini trophies since the inception of the tour and is highly determined to take home one of the biggies.

These women are fierce, and any player should be paying attention to them.

Now that we’ve had our little Nat’s Facts moment, let’s have a look at what happened on Day 3.

At 2 pm, Day 1D of the £150 Mini Main Event with £50,000 GTD was underway. The fourth flight attracted a total of 147 entries, with 22 players making it through to Day 2. Familiar faces included PartyPoker Tour Team members Sam “Hooooooooold” Acheampong and Rebecca Hardisty, Poker Tourist Asif Warris, PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event winner Deniz Orhan and PartyPoker Ambassador Jaime Staples who also made it through to Day 2.

The top chip leaders were Henry Owen, PartyPoker Tour Sheffield Poker.PRO PL H.O.R.S.E. Champion, with 907,000 chips, Karl Roberts with 782,000 chips, and Connor Butt with 505,000 chips. PartyPoker Tour Team member Rebecca Hardisty also made it through to Day 2 with 365,000 chips.

At 7 pm, the third Poker.PRO branded event, PL 2-7 Triple Draw, kicked off. The tournament attracted a total of 24 entries, generating a £1,200 prize pool. Familiar faces included PartyPoker Tour Team member Sam Acheampong. However, it was Michal Mozdzierz who won the title, the trophy, and £510 in prize money.

At 8 pm, Day 1E Turbo started. This flight attracted a total of 105 entries, with 16 players making it through to Day 2. Familiar faces included Irish poker legend Dr Angela Rogan, Caroline Cove, and PartyPoker Tour Team member Sam “Hooooooold” Acheampong, who is clearly on a proper mission. We had missed him in Madrid, so it is good to see you again, Sam!

The top chip leaders were Alex Montgomery, who took down the UK Poker Championships in Nottingham back in September, with 611,000 chips, Jonathan Roberts with 550,000 chips, and Justin Devonport with 486,000 chips.

One more flight is left in the Mini Main Event, so if you haven’t qualified for Day 2 yet, make sure you enter the last flight to give yourself a chance.
