€100K For €100 – Day 2 Wrap
The second day of the €100K for €100 Festival got underway with the poker room buzzing with excitement. Massive guarantees, leaderboard points on the line, and a Main Event with a €100 buy in meant the stage was set for yet another spectacle at the Green Isle Hotel, Dublin.
Action kicked off early with Main Event Day 1B. This flight attracted 103 entries. IPT regulars Carl Cullen and Dara O’Kearney both failed to make it through to the next stage. In the end, eight players secured a stack for the final day, with Don Melrose finishing as chip leader after bagging 776,000.
Meanwhile, the Friday Omaha 300 drew a mix of seasoned Omaha players and leaderboard contenders. With 27 entries creating a €7,500 prize pool, the event delivered plenty of action. As play continued, the field gradually thinned. Finishing in third place was Adam Bolger (€1,440), while Nilas Navickas (€2,060) took second. Taking home another trophy to add to his collection was Mark Buckley, who claimed €3,400 for the victory.

In the mid-afternoon, Main Event Day 1C got underway. In total, there were 234 entries, and with such a large field there were plenty of chips up for grabs. By the end of the flight, 24 players had secured their place in the final day. The biggest stack belonged to Davide Raschella, who finished second at the Galway Poker Festival, bagging a whopping 1,127,000.
Later in the evening, the Friday €5K NLH began with 37 players taking their seats. At this stage the poker room was alive with the familiar sounds of live poker. Surrounded by chuckles and cheers, play progressed steadily. When the field reached five players, the payout structure was adjusted to include fifth place. Finishing in third was Vasileios Kontogiannis, who banked €900. During heads up play the remaining prize money was adjusted, leaving Sean Óg O’Sullivan to take second place for €1,450. The trophy and €1,550 went to Marcin Rejmak.

The final flight of the day was Main Event Day 1D, in total, 188 entries were recorded in this flight. At the end of play, 188 advanced to the final day, with Bogdan-Marian Bucur, bagging the biggest stack of 535,000.
With two more days of action still to come at the Green Isle, make sure to stay tuned to LivePokerUpdates for all the latest coverage.
