McHugh Busts Kelly

Summer in Dublin 1B
Level: 15 | Blinds: 3000/6000 | BB Ante: 6000
Ave. Stack: 188,387 - Prizepool: €100,000 - Field: 31/146

Dermot McHugh

As the final three hands in the flight were announced, Jamie Cunningham limped under the gun and was met with a raise to 17,000 by Dermot McHugh in middle position.

Pat Kelly went all-in for 21,000 from the button and Dan Nakache cold-called in the small blind. McHugh wanted to get it all-in pre but could only call given the Kelly all-in was insufficient to count as a raise.

On the 667 flop McHugh wasted little time before moving all-in for around 100,000, leading to a swift fold from Nakache.

Kelly turned over A5 for ace-high with some backdoor straight draws, while McHugh had QQ for a pair of queens.

The 72 flop and turn were bricks for Kelly, who made for the exits after saying his goodbyes.
