Meegan Calls a Bluff at Showdown

APAT Irish Amateur Poker Championship Day 1C Fast
Level: 15 | Blinds: 8000/16000 | BB Ante: 16000
Ave. Stack: 397,222 - Prizepool: €54,041 - Field: 36/143

Tadgh Meegan made the right call at the end of a hand, catching Aurimas Baksinskas in a missed-draw bluff.

Baksinskas made it 35,000 before the flop, with Meegan being the only one to call.

After the flop of 34A, Meegan checked and Baksinskas made an even bigger bet to 53,000, which was once again called by Meegan.

The 2 on the turn prompted checks from both players, and the K on the river saw Meegan start the action off with a 55,000 chip bet.

Baksinksas then shoved all 300,000 of his chips into the middle, which drew consideration from Meegan, who eventually made the call.

Baksinskas instantly stood up and pushed his cards to the muck, both hands only being shown upon request from observer Joe O’Neill.

Baksinskas was holding 69, while Meegan had top-pair with AJ – eliminating Baksinskas from the tournament!

Double KO for Ian O’Flynn!

APAT Irish Amateur Poker Championship Day 1C Fast
