Alex Coughlan Eliminated in 6th Place
Alex Coughlan moved all in and was called by Sean Coffey, who moved his 480,000 stack into the middle, Coughlan covering him.
Sean Coffey: K♥K♦
Alex Coughlan: A♣J♣
Coughlan had run into Coffey’s kings, and no escape was provided by the Q♥9♥9♣2♦7♣ runout.
Coughlan was left with crumbs and was forced all-in in the big blind in the next hand, his 9♦3♠ being usurped by Ryan Ashe’s J♣6♦ on the turn on Q♥3♦A♣6♠10♥.
The remaining five players have taken a break to have deal discussions.

Shane Keary Eliminated in 7th Place (€900)
Eamon Doran raised to 100,000 and was called by Sean Coffey. Shane Keary three-bet jammed for 210,000 from the big blind, and both of his opponents called.
The A♦9♦3♣9♣ flop and turn were checked through. On the 4♥ river Doran jammed and Coffey folded.
Doran showed 3♦3♥ for the full house, which bested Keary’s 10♥10♦ for two pair, tens and nines.

Always An Ace
Pavlo Havrylyshen jammed from the button, covering both players in the blinds, with James McDevitt making the quick call in the big blind for his 245,000 stack.
James McDevitt: K♠K♣
Pavlo Havrylyshen: A♠4♥
McDevitt had woken up with a monster in the big blind, and as the cards were turned over Shane Keary quipped “Unlucky James”, to which McDevitt replied “I know, I can feel it.”
As if he had cursed himself, the A♦ was in the window on the A♦9♣9♦ flop, and the 6♦7♣ turn and river did not provide McDevitt with an unlikely reversal. He exits in 12th for €400, and former chip leader Illia Tsymbalist has also departed in 13th.

McCabe Cracks Two
Short-stack Mossie Fitzgerald moved all in for 11,000, but his action was not seen by Rodrigo Diaz, who tried to raise to 12,000. The floor was called and the action was ruled a min-raise to 14,000. Stephen McCabe made the call in the big blind.
The A♥9♠J♦ flop and K♠ turn were checked through.
On the 8♣ river, McCabe led out with a bet of 18,000. Diaz took some time to think before moving all in for around 90,000. McCabe looked pained by the decision, but ultimately made the call.
Diaz said “Good call”, and turned over K♣10♣ for second pair kings. McCabe showed K♦8♦ for two pair, while Fitzgerald, who stated he had not looked at his cards, had 3♣2♠.

Fleming Spikes Two-Outer to Bust Aikman
John Fleming and Lewis Aikman had become embroiled in a pre-flop raising war, that culminated in both players all-in for around 55,000 effective, with Fleming having the slightly covering stack.
Lewis Aikman: Q♠Q♣
John Fleming: J♠J♥
Aikman looked set for the double-up with the overpair, but the J♦9♥4♣ flop propelled Fleming into the lead with a set of jacks, and the 3♦A♥ turn and river did not alter matters.

Smyth’s Set Gets Rivered
Player of the Year leader Hugh Smyth recounted a hand to LPU that caused him some damage as he was heading out during the break.
After min-opening to 3,200 with 8♦8♠and receiving one caller, Smyth flatted a three-bet from an opponent in the big blind to 8,500.
On the J♦8♥5♦ flop, Smyth called a bet of 7,000 from his opponent with his set of eights.
On the 9♦ turn, his opponent checked. Smyth moved all in for 35,000 and got a call.
His opponent held A♣Q♥ for ace-high with the gutshot, and promptly binked the 10♣ river. Smyth still has around 25 big blinds to work with, and will be hoping to spin it back up.
