Alexey Nifotov Is The Champion Of Madrid! – €43,250
Last night Casino Gran Via closed its doors to the first ever PartyPoker Tour event and, if I may say, what an event it was. The city of Madrid, that’s in Spain, gave us San Isidro, churros and chocolate, tapas, fiestas and so much poker. This has been the most successful event in Spain but also of the PartyPoker Tour since its inception, attracting a total of 3,051 entries, with 1,052 unique players from 53 different countries, generating a total prize pool of €567,210. So far in 2026 PartyPoker have awarded a total of 1,538 tickets and that is not even including the .EU tickets awarded.
Both the Mini Main Event and the Main Event smashed their respective guarantees by doubling them generously on both occasions. The poker room was constantly busy and all tournaments were consistently and constantly full to the brim. Before saying goodbye, let’s have a quick look at what happened yesterday.
At 1pm the Mystery Bounty began. The tournament attracted a total of 62 entries and generated a total prize pool of €7,130. Familiar faces that joined were Ranveer Arora, Siddharth Sudunagunta (PartyPoker Tour Sheffield Main Event Winner), PartyPoker Tour Team member Dani Garcia, Steffan Stroffek, PartyPoker Leaderboard Winner Alex “wishiper96” Georgiev, the Faded Spade Sponsored Tournament Winner Darach Rogan and poker legend Dr Angela Rogan. After making a deal with Dani Garcia, Angela Rogan collected the title and the trophy, making the win extra special as her son Darach won a tournament earlier in the week.
At 3pm, the €100,000 GTD Main Event returned with 18 players ready to fight to the death. By 7pm the final 9 were determined and the livestream with our friends over at Poker Red, with SantiJota, Alvaro Aspas and MaxMaestro, was underway. If you were unable to watch the stream live, fear not, you can still watch it on PartyPoker’s Official YouTube Channel as well as Poker Red’s.
The final 9 were as follows:
Seat 1 – Alexey Neofitov – 4.83M – Alexey is 33 years old and when he isn’t playing poker, he enjoys getting involved with AI startups and software engineering. It would be very special for him to win this event, as it would mark his biggest live score to date. Although he used to grind professionally many years ago, he now considers himself more of a recreational player.
Seat 2 – Daniel Triana Ruiz – 2.78M – Daniel is a local player from Madrid. He is 35 years old and when he isn’t playing poker, he loves travelling and mountain sports. Winning this event would mean the world to him, especially doing it in his home city. His biggest achievement to date is winning a WSOP bracelet in 2024.
Seat 3 – Alejandro Rubio – 2.67M – Alejandro is 20 years old, from Madrid, and studies odontology. He has only been playing poker for a year, making this deep run even more impressive. It would be particularly special for him after winning the SPF Main Event at Casino Gran Madrid just last month. This would also be his biggest score to date. He originally qualified for the Mini Main Event before deciding to take a shot in the Main Event instead.
Seat 4 – Jorge Ruiz – 2.45M – Jorge is 35 years old and comes from Palencia. When he isn’t playing poker, he enjoys going to the gym, practising sports and reading fiction. Winning this event would bring him huge happiness and no doubt lead to a big celebration with friends. His biggest result to date is winning the Malaga Open High Roller.
Seat 5 – Hugo Miguel Caldeira De Brites – 1.65M – Hugo is 47 years old and comes from Portugal. He is primarily a cash game player and this would mark his biggest live tournament result to date.
Seat 6 – Ashley James Brown – 1.13M – Ashley is 28 years old and comes from the UK. When he isn’t playing poker, he enjoys spending time with his partner and their two dogs, a Shih Tzu and a Shih Tzu-Pomeranian cross. If he won this tournament, he would put the money towards a house deposit. It would also be his biggest win to date. Ashley qualified for the event through PartyPoker Spins.
Seat 7 – Raphael Lenaerts – 845K – Raphael is 32 years old and currently lives in Portugal, although he was born in Belgium. In his spare time, he enjoys playing futsal and if he won this event, it would be incredibly special to him as it would mark his first victory outside of Portugal.
Seat 8 – Nicolas Le Floch – 785K – Nicolas is 45 years old and when he isn’t playing poker, he spends time managing his newly purchased flat in Cannes, as well as enjoying life with friends and family. Winning this event would feel incredible for him and would help him continue developing his poker game. Back in 2013, he finished 35th in the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas for $230K. He qualified for this Main Event through partypoker.
Seat 9 – David Rodriguez Lamas – 680K – Known within the poker community as Darko15, David is a well-known Spanish professional poker player. The 48-year-old enjoys sports away from the tables, especially basketball. Winning this event would feel fantastic for him. His biggest victory to date came in the 2015 CNP Valencia Main Event.
Around 8pm we were heads up and a deal was made between Alexey Neofitov and Hugo Caldeira, where they decided to play for €7,500 and the coveted PartyPoker Main Event trophy.
The fight didn’t last too long and around 10pm Alexey Neofitov was crowned the PartyPoker Tour Madrid Main Event winner. We had time to have a quick chat with Alex after his win, and he was so excited and happy to have won, although he did say that he would need for the adrenaline to go down to really understand the impact of his win. He also said that if PartyPoker are back next year he would like to defend his title then. A reminder that this record-breaking event attracted a massive 535 entries and generated a total prize pool of €238,075.
At the same time the Final Day of the PLO Masters, spearheaded by the fabulous JJ Hazan, was underway. The event attracted a total of 105 entries and generated a total prize pool of €22,575. 21 players came back for the final day and the likes of PartyPoker Tour Team member Barny Boatman and PokerStars Team PRO David Lappin were amongst the mix. This was another event that had a lovely international flavour but it was incredible to see the sheer number of Spanish players be in the mix. Could PLO be the new NLH in Spain? Time will tell but the numbers are promising. Ultimately it was Leon Marcel Bennett that took home the trophy and €4,650 in prize money.
But the party, as they say, was definitely not over. At 4pm the NLH High Roller 7-Max commenced. The tournament attracted a total of 80 entries and generated an unbelievable prize pool of €72,000. A lively event that had a wonderful international flavour, and familiar faces included PartyPoker Tour Team members Barry Carter, Barbara Jimenez and Niall Farrell, PaddyPower PRO Dara O’Kearney, PartyPoker Ambassador Jaime Staples and Edward Cherrie who had won his ticket when he won the NLH Hyper earlier in the week. In the end, as with all things poker, only one person can stand, although Dara, Niall and Barbara all cashed, it was Bernardino Hernandez that took home €16,500, the trophy and of course the glory.
At 5pm the PLO Masters NLH / PLO 6-Max was warming up. With the likes of PartyPoker Tour members Natalie Bromley, Barny Boatman, Glenn Brown and Rebecca Hardisty, PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event Winner Deniz Orhan, PartyPoker Tour Sheffield Main Event Winner Sid Sudunagunta, Lisa McNamara, Steffan Stroffek, Jonathan Rees, PLO Masters 4/5/6 Winner Lirong Hu Yu and poker.pro Friday Party Madness Crazy Pineapple Bounty winner Grzegorz Staniszewski wanted to have one final try at their luck. The poker gods did not look down on this occasion as it was Flavien Mullet who won the tournament and took home the €2,175 and of course the trophy.
And then it was time for the last tournament of the day and of the festival itself, the €60 Sunday Last Chance Madness NLH Double Board. The event attracted a total of 71 entries and generated a total prize pool of €3,550. As it was the last tournament of the festival the world came out to play. We had PartyPoker Tour members Natalie Bromley, Glenn Brown and Dani Garcia, we had regular PartyPoker Tour players like Lisa McNamara, Steffan Stroffek and Ranveer Arora and we had a few PartyPoker Tour Winners as well, including Deniz Orhan (Main Event Manchester 2025), Jonathan Rees (PLO Masters 4/5/6 Seville), Grzegorz Staniszewski (Friday Party Madness £2k Added Prize Draw Birmingham and Friday Party Madness Crazy Pineapple Bounty Madrid) and Alex “wishiper96” Georgiev (PartyPoker Tour 2025 Leaderboard Winner). The ultimate winner, who closed this incredible event in his home town, was PartyPoker Tour Team member Dani Garcia.

Jokes aside, thank you everyone and see you ever so soon.
Belfast’s Angela Rogan Battles It Out Heads-Up Against Her Son Darach In Madrid Side Event
One thing we have not mentioned at all this week is the food culture in Madrid. Let’s start by saying that the oldest restaurant in the world is based here in the city. Sobrino de Botín has been in continuous operation since 1725 and specialises in Castilian cuisine, particularly roast suckling pig and lamb. On the other hand, one of the most famous traditions amongst “madrileños” is ending a night with churros and hot chocolate. Although none of those things were present at Casino Gran Via, the day and night were full of exciting stories, wins and overall “buen rollo” (the Spanish version of good vibes). So let’s have a look at what went on yesterday.
At midday, the last flight, Day 1D Hyper, of the Main Event was underway, attracting 63 entries. The final chance to qualify for Day 2, so of course the usual suspects decided to give it one last go, including PokerStars Team PRO David Lappin, PaddyPower Team PRO Dara O’Kearney, PartyPoker Tour team member Glenn Brown and PartyPoker Tour Leaderboard winner Alex “wishiper96” Georgiev.
20 players got through, with the top chip leaders of this flight being Pablo De Heredia Garcia with 370,000 chips, Jorge Ruiz with 369,000 chips and Chen Yi with 349,000 chips.
At 1pm, the NLH Faded Spade tournament kicked off. The tournament attracted a total of 43 players, generating a total prize pool of €5,375. PaddyPower PRO Dara O’Kearney was the unlucky bubble for this event, however a beautiful story unfolded.

Angela Rogan, originally from Belfast and a regular at Rinty’s Club in Antrim, you can read more about her in this lovely article, came to Madrid with her son Rogan. After several hours of play, they found themselves in a heads-up battle and, in the end, Darach Rogan collected his first-ever live trophy, making mum and the whole of Antrim incredibly proud. Rogan lifted the trophy, took the glory and €1,985 in prize money. These are the types of stories that warm all the cockles. Well done Rogan, I am sure we can expect some great things from you.
At 3pm, Day 1B of the PLO Masters commenced. This flight attracted a total of 38 entries, with 8 players making it through to Day 2. The likes of newest PartyPoker Tour team member and overall poker legend Barny Boatman, who made it through to Day 2, PartyPoker Tour Sheffield Main Event winner Siddharth Sudunagunta, Irish poker legend Sia Browne, Poker.PRO Crazy Pineapple winner Grzegorz Adam Staniszewski and PokerStars Team PRO David Lappin all decided to try their luck.
The top chip leaders of this flight were Deniss Lebedevs with 577,000 chips, Marcis Zeltmatis with 473,000 chips and Paul Tinsley with 284,000 chips.
At 6pm, Day 2 of the €100,000 GTD Main Event started. In true Madrid style, the Main Event has once again broken its own record, bringing the overall number to a whopping 535 entries and generating a total prize pool of €238,075. First place will take home €45,000.
At the start of play, 138 players took their seats. Familiar faces who had made it through to Day 2 included PartyPoker Tour team members Barny Boatman, Niall Farrell, Natalie Bromley, Dani Garcia and Glenn Brown, alongside Iain Farrell, Ranveer Arora, PartyPoker Ambassador Jaime Staples, PartyPoker Tour London Grand Final winner Thomas Sanderson, Steffan Stroffek, PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event winner Deniz Orhan and Jonathan Rees.
At the same time, the livestream with our friends over at Poker Red was underway. Around 9pm, the bubble burst. You can read all the action through our fantasticoso Poker.PRO live reporter Christoffer Karlén here. 79 players were all in the money.
At the end of play, 18 players made it through to the final day and the top chip leaders going into Day 3 are Alexey Neofitov with 4.83 million chips, followed by Daniel Triana Ruiz with 2.78 million chips and finally Alejandro Rubio with 2.67 million chips. Still left in the mix is also PartyPoker Tour Manchester winner Deniz Orhan, who also had the craziest experience, read about it here.
At 6pm, the NLH KO began. The tournament attracted a total of 91 entries and generated a total prize pool of €10,465. PartyPoker Tour team members Rebecca Hardisty and Barbara Jimenez, as well as PartyPoker Ambassador Jaime Staples, were all at the tables. Jaime cashed and finished in 11th place, but it was Marcos Pitarch who took home the trophy, bragging rights and €3,090 in prize money.
At 9pm, the last flight of the PLO Masters got underway. This final flight attracted 27 entries, with 5 players making it through to Day 2. Taking one final shot were Poker.PRO Crazy Pineapple winner Grzegorz Adam Staniszewski, Steffan Stroffek, Ranveer Arora, PartyPoker Tour team member Barry Carter, who this time did not make the final day, and PokerStars Team PRO David Lappin, who is amongst the players that progressed to Day 2 and sits third in chips with 257,000.
The top two chip leaders are Guillermo Puerta Mallol with 331,000 chips and Ped Oliva Martinez with 327,000 chips.
Finally, at 10pm, the NLH Hyper – €1,000 High Roller Seat Added was in full swing, attracting 143 entries and generating a total prize pool of €3,575. Familiar faces included partners in crime and winners of several GPI Awards in 2025, PartyPoker Tour team member Barry Carter and PaddyPower PRO Dara O’Kearney, although unfortunately neither made it.
It was Edward Cherrie who took home the trophy, the prize money (€700), the glory and the €1,000 High Roller Seat, courtesy of partypoker.
As you can see, yesterday, in true Madrid style, was one big party, but the fun is not ending there and today is the final day, so let’s have a quick look at what’s going on.
We are back today with the final livestream of the festival, powered by our friends at Poker Red, which will commence at 3:00pm with a 30-minute delay.

Madrid Main Event In Full Swing
Around the 15th of May, Madrid celebrates its patron saint, San Isidro, and it’s when all “madrileños” fill the streets of the capital dressed in their traditional “chulapo” outfits, taking part in festivities across different parts of the city centre. Casino Gran Via definitely carried that same energy yesterday and, overall, it was one seriously festive day.
At 2pm, the second flight of the €100,000 GTD Main Event kicked off, attracting the largest Day 1B field to date with 232 entries. What a week this is proving to be, and there are still two days of the festival left. 56 players made it through to Day 2.
At the beginning of the day, familiar faces included PartyPoker Tour team member Natalie Bromley, who had a fantastic start. To read more about it, check out Poker.PRO’s very own Christoffer Karlén’s take here. The Main Event took on a wonderful international flavour, with players coming from the UK, Ireland, Brazil, Italy, France, USA and even Azerbaijan, familiar faces included PokerStars Team PRO Irishman David Lappin, PartyPoker Tour regular Slovakian Stefan Stroffek, PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Jaime Staples, NLH KO winner, Norwegian Pal Andre Fjulsrud, PartyPoker Tour Manchester Winner Deniz Orhan, PLO Masters 4/5/6 Seville Winner Jonathan Rees, PartyPoker Tour Team members Rebecca Hardisty and Barry Carter, who by the way made the final table of the PLO Masters 4/5/6 on Thursday, all joined in for the fun. Top chip leaders going through to Day 2 are Mikel Alonso with 665,000 chips, PartyPoker Tour Team member Dani Garcia with 552,000 chips and Jonathan Rees with 479,000 chips.
At 4pm, the NLH – Sponsored by MTTDB got underway. The tournament attracted 105 players and generated a total prize pool of €8,925. The likes of Amber Sullivan decided to try her luck but in the end it was Spaniard David Santiago Rodriguez who took home € 1,830 in prize money alongside the trophy.
At 6pm, Day 1A of the PLO Masters commenced. The first flight attracted a total of 40 entries, with 8 players progressing through to Day 2. PartyPoker Tour Team member Glenn Brown was flying the flag for the team but was unlucky on this occasion and didn’t make it through to Day 2. Top chip leaders were PLO Mastermind JJ Hazan with 396,000 chips, Alberto Fernandez Dominiguez with 328,000 chips and Jose Manuel Perez Roman with 311,000 chips. It’s wonderful to see this particular format continue to grow in Spain.
At 9pm, Day 1C of the €100,000 GTD Main Event got underway, attracting a total of 67 entries. Amber Sullivan, Sia Browne, Dara O’Kearney and Alex “wishiper96” Georviev attended this third flight. 19 players made it through to Day 2. Top chip leaders are Brazilian Martin Alejandro Romero Peralta with 424,000 chips, Alba Jimenez with 345,000 chips and Alberto Area Martinez with 311,000 chips.
At 10pm, the second Poker.PRO tournament, the Friday Party Madness Crazy Pineapple Bounty, was another huge success, attracting 122 entries and generating a total prize pool of €3,050. Grzegorz Adam Staniszewski, who also won the Friday Party Madness £2k Added prize draw at PartyPoker Tour Birmingham back in October ended up taking home €750 in prize money, as well as another trophy for his collection.
We are slowly heading towards the end of the festival, so let’s have a quick look at what is happening today:

Madrid Main Event Off To A Flying Start
The origins of Madrid’s name can be traced back to the Arabic Mayrit, loosely translating to “place of many streams.” Judging by yesterday’s scenes inside Casino Gran Vía, that feels strangely appropriate.
The PartyPoker Tour Madrid Live Stream officially kicked off at 4pm with a special Invitational Sit & Go and, unsurprisingly, plenty of familiar faces were spotted around the tables.

Representing the PartyPoker Tour Team were Dani Garcia, Barbara Jimenez, Natalie Bromley, Barry Carter, Niall Farrell, Joe Beevers, Glenn Brown and Rebecca Hardisty. Joining them were the likes of PLO mastermind JJ Hazan, Steffan Stroffek, Deniz Orhan, regular partypoker.eu Spins player Carlos Simon and regular partypoker.eu satellite and tournament player Manuel Sanchez, who has won several PartyPoker Tour packages.
The top three finishers were PartyPoker Tour Team member Barbara Jimenez, who collected 250 p$, Carlos Simon, who took home 500 p$, and ultimately Rebecca Hardisty, who claimed the glory and the 1,000 p$ top prize.
At 4pm, Day 1A of the €100,000 GTD Main Event also got underway.
The opening flight attracted 173 entries, with 43 players successfully making it through to Day 2.
Notable names in the field included PartyPoker Tour Team members Dani Garcia, Barbara Jimenez, Niall Farrell and Barny Boatman, alongside PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event winner Deniz Orhan and Franky Green.
The top chip counts at the end of the night belonged to Kilin Borsos Csaba with 656,000 chips, followed by Alexey Neofitov with 599,000 and Fred Wulff with 528,000.
At 7pm, the PLO Masters 4/5/6 kicked off.
The event attracted 74 entries, generating a total prize pool of €9,250.
Familiar faces included Irish poker legend Sia “Titanium” Browne. As always, JJ Hazan was bringing both action and charm to the tables, while the ever-so-suave PartyPoker Tour Team member Joe Beevers was also in attendance.
In the end, it was Lirong Hu Yu who lifted the trophy and collected the €2,850 top prize.
Also at 7pm, the final day of the record-breaking Mini Main Event got underway, with 27 players returning to the tables.
One particularly interesting storyline involved Edin Hrnjic and Alex “wishiper96” Georgiev. Back at PartyPoker Tour Sheffield, the two had battled deep into the tournament without either managing to claim victory. Here in Madrid, it briefly looked as though they might finally settle the score once and for all, but poker had other plans.

By 10:30pm, the final table of nine had been set and, ultimately, it was Federico Estrada Mazzarella who conquered the record-breaking event, taking home €16,550 and the very much coveted trophy.
Congratulations to Federico for officially making PartyPoker Tour history.
At 10pm, the Poker.PRO sponsored Thursday Party Madness Red River NLH Bounty kicked off, attracting 127 entries and generating a total prize pool of €3,175.
The likes of Natalie Bromley, Dani Garcia, Barbara Jimenez and Rebecca Hardisty all joined the madness, although in the end it was Francisco Javier Dito who walked away with the trophy and €745 in prize money.
With Day 4 now wrapped up, let’s have a quick look at what is taking place today.
At 2pm, Day 1B of the €100,000 Main Event gets underway.
At 4pm, the MTTDB Sponsored NLH Tournament will kick off.
At 6pm, Day 1A of the PLO Masters Main Event begins.
At 9pm, the third flight of the €100,000 Main Event, Day 1C, gets underway and, to end the day with a bang, the Poker.PRO Friday Party Madness Crazy Pineapple Bounty will commence at 10pm.
At 6pm (with a 30-minute delay), our friends over at Poker Red will once again be bringing all the entertainment in Spanish with coverage of Day 1B of the Main Event.
We are quite confident today is going to bring plenty more action and entertainment.
Make sure you follow Poker.PRO to keep up with all the fascinating stories that our very own Christopher Karlen is bringing you in English from this record-breaking festival.
And if you fancy practising your Spanish, don’t worry, Poker Red has you covered with all the latest updates from the Main Event as well.

Send in the Armada – “We’re gonna need a bigger boat” – Record Attendance in Madrid
Spain has given the world many wonderful things, including flamenco, tapas and the idea that not eating dinner until half the planet is asleep is somehow completely normal. It has also now given us a Mini Main Event field that totally lost control in the best possible way.
Once registrations closed after Day 1D, the €50,000 GTD Mini Main Event had reached a record-breaking 918 entries, comfortably smashing the guarantee and generating a massive €114,750 prize pool.
So, let’s have a look at what happened.
The day kicked off at 1pm with the final flight of the €50,000 GTD Mini Main Event, Day 1D Hyper. The flight attracted a total of 147 entries, with 21 players making it through to Day 2.
Familiar faces included the ever-bubbly PartyPoker Tour Team member Glenn Brown and Rebecca Hardisty, although unfortunately neither managed to progress this time around.
Leading the way was Spanish player Alfredo Albornoz, who bagged a massive 1.29 million chips. He was followed by Dutch player Indy Theo Sepp Westenberg with 576,000 chips and Chinese player Xiaobin Liu with 466,000 chips.
At 4pm, the PLO Masters High Roller 6-Max got underway.
The tournament attracted 33 entries, generating a total prize pool of €29,700. JJ Hazan, the mastermind behind the PLO Masters brand, was of course in attendance, alongside newly announced PartyPoker Tour Team member Barny Boatman.
In the end, it was local Spanish player David Sierra Marino who lifted the trophy and took home €11,860 in prize money.
At 6pm, the NLH KO commenced, attracting 97 entries and generating a total prize pool of €11,640.
Familiar faces included PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event Winner Deniz Orhan, alongside PartyPoker Tour Team members Barbara Jimenez and Rebecca Hardisty. Let’s also not forget that Barbara, during her very first event as a sponsored player in Seville, finished runner-up in the Main Event.
Ultimately, it was Pal Andre Fjulsrud who collected the €2,860 top prize, alongside the trophy and, of course, the glory.
Then, at 7pm, it was time for Day 2 of the Mini Main Event to begin.
This is officially the biggest Mini Main Event in the history of the tour, with its incredible 918-entry field generating a total prize pool of €114,750, more than doubling the original guarantee.
The 135 players who had successfully navigated their way through the starting flights returned to battle it out for a spot on the final day.
Familiar faces still in contention included Madrid local and PartyPoker Tour Team member Dani Garcia, Steffan Stroffek and PartyPoker Tour Manchester Main Event Winner Deniz Orhan. Unfortunately, none of them managed to make it through to the final day.
However, among the 27 players who did survive were PartyPoker Tour Team member Joe Beevers and PartyPoker Tour Leaderboard Winner Alex “wishiper96” Georgiev.
Leading the way heading into the final day is Kevin Lezcano with 3 million chips, followed by Dwayne Ofoeme with 2.44 million and Olivian Marius Vadean with 2.43 million.
Finally, at 10pm, the last tournament of the day, the NLH Hyper, got underway.
The top three finishers also received a €500 Main Event ticket, courtesy of the PartyPoker team, on top of their prize money.
The event attracted 138 entries and generated a total prize pool of €3,450, proving that Casino Gran Via has absolutely no intention of slowing down any time soon.
Familiar faces included PartyPoker Tour Team members Barny Boatman, Rebecca Hardisty and Natalie Bromley, who unfortunately became the tournament’s unlucky stone bubble.
Yesterday was absolute madness, but somehow today is shaping up to be just as big.
First and foremost, today marks the beginning of the €100,000 GTD Main Event.
The Live Stream will also go live for the very first time this festival with an Invitational Sit & Go, followed by coverage of the Mini Main Event final table, where a champion will officially be crowned in the record-breaking event.
On top of that, the PLO Masters 4/5/6, led by the one and only JJ Hazan, gets underway and, last but certainly not least, the first of two Poker.PRO sponsored tournaments will begin.
So yes, another packed day awaits inside Casino Gran Via:

Belfast’s Angela Rogan leads Day 1B with 823,000 in €50,000 GTD Mini Main Event at the PartyPoker Tour Madrid
We have the pleasure of getting updates from Natalie Bromley who has arrived in Madrid for the PartyPoker Tour Madrid –
The Casino Gran Via almost felt a little like the famous Cibeles Fountain yesterday. The majestic sculpture, sitting proudly beside the Cibeles Palace, comes with one of Madrid’s best-known legends. Rumour has it that if somebody ever attempted to break into the Bank of Spain’s gold chamber, the fountain could be used to flood it completely.
Well, if there was any flooding happening yesterday, it was certainly inside Casino Gran Via, with players pouring in from far and wide for another huge day of the PartyPoker Tour Madrid.
At 4pm, Day 1B of the €50,000 GTD Mini Main Event got underway and attracted an impressive 314 entries, with 47 players successfully making it through to Day 2.
Familiar faces in the field included PartyPoker Tour Team member Joe “The Hendon Mob Co-Founder” Beevers and PartyPoker Tour regular Steffan Stroffek, both safely navigating their way into Day 2. Less fortunate on this occasion were PartyPoker Tour Team member Niall “firaldo” Farrell and Franky Green, although with plenty still to come in Madrid, there is definitely no need to panic just yet.
Leading the way in Day 1B was Irish player Angela Rogan, bagging an impressive 823,000 chips. She was followed by Germany’s Fred Wulff with and loca686,000l player Jose Miguel Del Olmo with 663,000.
Then, at 9pm, the turbo lovers took their seats as Day 1C Turbo kicked off.
The faster-paced flight attracted a further 148 entries, with 22 players advancing to Day 2. Nan Min finished as chip leader with 569,000, followed by Ruben Garcia Martin on 499,000 and Marc Vigo Gaitan with 476,000.
One thing became very clear yesterday: Madrid is absolutely hungry for poker.
With the atmosphere inside Casino Gran Via building by the hour and players continuing to flood through the doors, the Spanish capital once again proved why this stop was so highly anticipated.
So, let’s take a quick look at what is coming up today:

Tournament fee structures and prize pool deductions vary across events, often making it difficult for players to assess true value. PartyPoker Tour operates a fully transparent model with no prize pool deductions or hidden fees, meaning 100% of the advertised prize pool is paid out, so what is shown is exactly what is played for.
But let’s be honest, did you seriously think that there would be nothing else, well think again.
PartyPoker Tour Madrid is adding something a little different this time around.
Players who open a new account on partypoker.es during the Madrid stop will receive access to an exclusive Player Experience Menu, designed to improve both the live and online experience throughout the festival.
Alongside the standard online welcome offer, players will be able to choose from a range of added experiences including tournament tickets, private poker tables, food experiences inside Casino Gran Vía, massages, feature table photoshoots, training subscriptions, merchandise and more.
The initiative forms part of PartyPoker Tour’s ongoing “Putting Players First” campaign, centred around accessible buy-ins, transparent structures and creating a festival experience aimed at everyday players, not just high rollers and professionals.

PartyPoker Tour now has its own Discord channel for any questions or queries.
